Stock Market LIVE, February 3, 2026

Stock Market Close Highlights, February 3, 2026: Bulls took over Dalal Street on Tuesday as Indian equity benchmarks, the Sensex and Nifty, surged following the finalisation of the landmark India–US trade deal. US President Donald Trump on Monday announced the agreement, which reduced reciprocal tariffs on Indian goods to 18 per cent.

At close, the BSE Sensex stood at 83,739.13, up 2,072.67 points or 2.54 per cent, while the NSE Nifty 50 settled at 25,727.55, up 639.15 points or 2.55 per cent.

On the BSE, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, IndiGo, and PowerGrid were among the top gainers, while Tech Mahindra and BEL were the sole laggards.

All sectoral indices ended in the green, led by the Nifty Realty index, which surged over 4 per cent. The Nifty Chemical, Pharma, and Consumer Durables indices also jumped more than 3 per cent each.

The broader markets mirrored the optimism, with the Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 settling 2.84 per cent and 2.82 per cent higher, respectively.

Stock Market Close: Here are the important levels on rupee

Stock Market Close Highlights: Rupee traded sharply stronger, appreciating by ₹1.28 or nearly 1.40 per cent following the US–India trade deal announcement.

At present, USD/INR is quoting near 90.25. The immediate resistance for the rupee is seen around 89.90, while 90.50 now acts as an important base support.

As long as the rupee sustains above the 90.50 zone, overall bias remains positive, with appreciation likely to continue if global risk sentiment remains stable and capital inflows strengthen.

Stock Market Close: Levels to watch on Sensex, Nifty on Wednesday

Stock Market Close Highlights: The market opened with a gap of over 1,220 points on the Nifty and 3,500 points on the Sensex, but due to temporary overbought conditions, it witnessed some profit booking at higher levels.

We are of the view that the short-term market outlook remains positive, but a strategy of 'buying on dips and selling on rallies' would be ideal for traders.

On the downside, retracement support is placed at 25,350-25,500 for the Nifty, and 82,500-83,000 for the Sensex. Similarly, 25,900-26,000, and 84300-84500 would act as immediate resistance levels for the bulls on Nifty and Sensex, respectively.

However, below 25,350/82500, the uptrend could become vulnerable.

Stock Market Close: 'Bank Nifty needs to rise further to confirm breakout'

Stock Market Close Highlights: Bank Nifty closed with a bearish candlestick on the daily chart while managing a breakout above the falling trendline, indicating a mixed but evolving structure.

The RSI has entered a bullish crossover, suggesting improving momentum. However, Tuesday’s move was largely driven by news and event-based triggers, making the follow-up session crucial to validate the sustainability of the breakout.

If the index holds above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages in the coming sessions, strength can be confirmed.

Immediate support is placed at 59,800, while resistance is seen near 61,700 levels.

Stock Market Close: 'India-US, India-EU deals have fuelled optimism'

Stock Market LIVE Updates: The market has been long awaiting the Indo-US trade deal announcement and the outcome fuelled a mega rally in benchmark and sectoral indices.

With India also announcing an FTA deal with the EU last week, the twin trade deals have given a major boost to the markets.

There is also a sigh of relief after the rupee recouped over 100 paise in a day, which may encourage renewed FII interest in local equities after witnessing continuous outflows over the past few months.

Stock Market Close: 'Market sentiment has turned decisively positive'

Stock Market Close Highlights: Indian equities experienced a significant rally today, driven by the long‑anticipated India–US trade deal and a strengthening rupee, which boosted expectations of renewed FII inflows.

The reduction of US tariffs on Indian goods from 50% to 18% enhances India's competitive position among emerging markets and bolsters the outlook for export‑oriented sectors with high US exposure, such as textiles, aquaculture, gems and pharmaceuticals, which were supported in the 2026 Union Budget.

Overall market sentiment has turned decisively positive, with global trade risks easing and moderation in the US-Iran conflict.

Going forward the markets could focus more on the ongoing Q3 corporate results with a positive bias, which till date have been below estimates, because of potential future earnings upgrades led by reduction in tariff risk.
